Alexis was our agent a year ago when we were shopping for a house in Berkeley. She came recommended by a friend because: #1: she knows this market really well and has a good sense of what things will sell for - this is tricky because everything goes above asking price. #2: she is a good negotiator when it's time to purchase the property. Both of these things proved true for us as well. I was initially disappointed because she didn't curate the MLS listings for us - she sent us everything in our price range every week and we had to weed through the list. However, we didn't look for a house for very long (less than 2 months), so that probably would've changed if we had house hunted for longer. When we found a good prospect she was there for us every step of the way and even several months after we moved in to our home. Before we bought our house, she set up our inspection (with a very thorough inspector so we would know exactly what we were getting into!), recommended trades to help us get quotes for fixing things, did a walk through with us and a contractor; and then, at our request, she negotiated down the purchase price for us. Six months after we bought the house she helped us revisit an issue with the seller. Tremendous customer care!
